Did you know that every four years on January 20, an important event occurs in the United States?  A president takes the Oath of Office during an inauguration ceremony.  Did you know that the Constitution specifies not only the specific words or oath the president must make, but also the exact time of the ceremony?  It's at noon eastern standard time. So, on January 20, 2009, Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th president of the United States. Obama will stand in front of the Capitol and take the Oath of Office from the chief justice of the United States. Even though the text of the presidential oath has remained the same: "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God" there are many interesting differences between them.
