IBM
Matching Grants
Attention
IBM parents and IBM retirees! Can you imagine getting a new
computer for around $230!
That's
the opportunity you can help Baucom take advantage of. IBM is
giving you the privilege of being part of the IBM K-12 Matching
Grants Program. This allows employees of IBM and persons retired
under the IBM Retirement Plan to make a personal contribution
for the donation of PC equipment to our school. As a donor, you
or your group will be required to donate 20% of the suggested
retail price of a particular configuration and IBM will
contribute the rest. If you have any questions or would like to
make a contribution, contact Cindy Holmes (Baucom technology
facilitator) at 919-387-2174 or email me at cholmes@wcpss.net.
GlaxoSmithKline
Parent Volunteers
Did
you know that Glaxo offers you, as an employee, an opportunity
to help benefit your child's school? As a parent, you can
volunteer your time and earn money through GIVE. GIVE
(GlaxoSmithKline's Investment in Volunteer Excellence) is a
program designed to enhance the support that GlaxoSmithKline
employees and their spouses give to their favorite nonprofit
organizations. The company awards $500 to nonprofits for 50 or
more hours of volunteer time donated by full-time employees
and/or their spouses within a consecutive 12-month period. This
time can be either at school helping out or at home (cutting
things, making games, organizing classroom activities, making
phone calls, etc.) As a result, our school will benefit twice:
once through the contribution of your valuable time and once
again through a financial contribution from the company in your
name. Through GIVE, GlaxoSmithKline rewards your excellence in
volunteering! Contact your Corporate Contributions Department to
find out how to get an application form.
Glaxo
Matching Gifts
Visit the GSK company website and use the Matching Gifts form
